Typing and personal words

The keyboard processes input on your device and makes no network requests. KeKey has no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, or KeKey accounts. iCloud synchronization is disabled in this version.

Personal words, their spelling, settings and deletion records are stored locally. Full Access is required for local storage shared by the app and keyboard; basic typing and built-in dictionaries work without it. KeKey uses it for local sharing and does not send typed text to the developer.

Deleting a word leaves a local record of its previous spelling and language to prevent an older copy from restoring it. These records have no automatic expiry. The personal dictionary and settings may be included in iOS system backups.

Optional statistics and journal

Both features are off by default and enabled separately. Statistics store words, language and counters; you can clear them in the app. The journal stores raw key and swipe actions, limited context and correction candidates, and may contain personal text. The app does not analyze manual corrections from the journal.

Statistics and journals stay on your device and are excluded from system backups. Turning recording off retains existing records. KeKey's system diagnostic log contains no typed text and is not sent to the developer automatically.

Export and deletion

Personal words and journals are exported only when you use the system share menu. You choose the recipient or storage service; its handling of the copy depends on that service. External links open in a browser after you tap them.

Local data remains until you clear the relevant feature or remove the app using iOS. Turning a feature off does not itself delete its data. Removing the app does not remove exported copies or backups held elsewhere.

This website and support

The website's code has no JavaScript, analytics, trackers, cookies, forms or external fonts. When you visit, the server processes your IP address, page address, request time and technical browser headers. Hosting infrastructure may keep technical logs to operate and protect the website. This is separate from keyboard input.

If you email support, we and the email provider receive your sender address, message and attachments to answer and investigate your request. Do not send passwords, payment information or unnecessary personal text. The developer does not receive your personal dictionary or journal automatically.

To ask about submitted data or request deletion of correspondence, email support@kekey.tech. This does not delete the sender's copies or data independently retained by email or system services.

Apple services

iOS, backups and TestFlight process data under Apple's terms. TestFlight may provide the developer with beta-testing information, crash information and feedback you submit. This is Apple's separate process, rather than automatic delivery of KeKey's local journal. See Apple's privacy policy and the TestFlight terms.
