Licenses and sources

KeKey uses modified selections of dictionary data. These licenses apply to the data, separately from KeKey's independent application code.

• FrequencyWords — Hermit DaveFrequency lists from OpenSubtitles 2018 via OPUS. Normalized, filtered, merged and selected with source counts retained. CC BY-SA 4.0.
• OpenCorpora contributorsMorphological dictionary distributed through pymorphy3-dicts-ru by Danylo Halaiko. Existing forms exported, normalized, filtered, merged and grouped. The source's CC BY-SA 3.0 attribution is retained in the combined CC BY-SA 4.0 adaptation.
• Russian Wiktionary and Russian Wikipedia contributorsSelected Wiktionary heads, categories, literal forms and short definition excerpts; bounded Wikipedia title evidence. Selected, normalized and filtered under CC BY-SA 4.0. Definitions use Kaikki/Wiktextract, with credit to Tatu Ylonen and Wiktextract contributors. The app links dictionary articles to their original sources and contributor histories.
• Wikidata contributorsSelected and normalized name and title labels linked to their sources. CC0 1.0.
• SCOWL / English Speller DatabaseSelected English forms from release 2026.02.25 by Kevin Atkinson and credited contributors, normalized and filtered. The full source-specific notices and permissions apply.
• Alexander I. Lebedev; modification by Laszlo NemethRussian spelling dictionary, used offline for finite-form attestation in data selection. This is a modified derivative; Hunspell implementation is not bundled. Full notice and permissions.
• Tatoeba contributorsOnly the designated Russian CC0 export, transformed offline into bounded context scores without shipping source sentences. CC0 1.0.

KeKey adds no restrictions to rights granted by these data licenses. Attribution and ShareAlike requirements continue to apply to CC BY-SA data; application terms do not replace data licenses.
